I Have Nothing But Everything to Prove
The end of 2023 until the beginning of 2024 was extremely exhausting for me. In addition to completing my final project as a visual communication design student specializing in Multimedia-Film, I was also working on two projects simultaneously: Namia Bakery and Renna Bistro. After a long journey of five and a half years in college, I finally graduated on February 5. I felt immense joy upon graduating, but strangely, that feeling didn't last long. A few months later, I was completely burnt out. My feelings were mixed; one burden was lifted, but what was next? I was very confused about whether I should start working first or continue building the design studio and DYAMA (creative F&B consultant) that I had long dreamed of.
I actually knew what I should do and which path to take along with its consequences. However, I didn't follow through, and each day I just watched movies (at that time, I had fallen in love with films again after making a short film for my final project). Because of this, it took about four months before I finally touched Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and other tools again after having been utterly fed up with design.
After losing the motivation, enthusiasm, and drive I had long possessed, Now I have nothing but this book as proof that I deserve to be in this industry. Working on this book has gradually restored my confidence and motivation with each page I completed. This book has become proof to myself that I am worthy and capable, while also indirectly demonstrating my deep passion for art and design. The journey over the past year has taught me invaluable lessons and experiences, showing me that we must keep moving forward even when we are burnt out or in a bad state.
